“No regrets” says FHM publisher Michael Downs, who departs Big Brother with an exit bombshell twist.

FHM Publisher Michael Downs is the first housemate evicted from Big Brother 2025.

Downs was sent packing last night over fellow housemates Jane, 67, and Holly, 31 in a Live eviction from Dreamworld.

He was outspoken in opinions some of which were polarised him from some of the house’s female residents.

“I didn’t want to go in there and not ruffle feathers. I went in there, ruffled feathers and here I am! But, if I went back in [to the house]… I’d do it all again, absolutely,” he told host Mel Tracina.

But he conceded he had been forced to rethink some early impressions.

“Conversing with people I wouldn’t normally talk to in the outside world has been a little bit humbling,” he said, adding that bonding with housemates like 23 year old Sri Lankan-Australian Mia, “Wouldn’t have happened without Big Brother”.

“[I have] No regrets about any of this, it’s been great!”

Downs casting in the series flew in the face of previous statements that anyone working in media could not apply.

A 10 spokesperson said, “Michael was chosen by Big Brother as he is outspoken, opinionated, mature, brings a no-nonsense attitude to the house, is a single dad to three teens, and represents a demographic that no one else represents in the house.”

And in a late night live streaming twist, a Head Housemate has now been appointed by evicted housemate Michael, deciding on chores, weekly shopping, given the only queen bed… and free of nominations.

Michael chose Holly … a decision nobody saw coming.

But as Vinnie suggested, it was a great conflict move.

“Cinema.”
