Prince Harry appears to be edging closer to mending fences with the Royal Family and has been making efforts to remain in their favour by moderating his public statements.

However, the strain may be affecting his judgement, according to one Royal commentator. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex attended Kris Jenner’s birthday celebration, but seemingly experienced second thoughts and reportedly requested the Jenner team remove photographs of them from social media.

It seems Harry and Meghan grew anxious it might appear inappropriate given the party took place the evening before Remembrance Sunday, yet the issue is the images had already been widely circulated and deleting them simply raised further eyebrows.

Jane Barr addressed the sequence of events on her Substack platform, From Berkshire to Buckingham.

“I think we have to conclude this is a classic case of the Sussexes overthinking everything and committing an unforced error,” Barr penned, reports the Express US.

Reconciliation ‘not on the table’

The Royal correspondent believes it’s entirely acceptable for Harry and Meghan to socialise on the same evening the Royal Family attended the Festival of Remembrance at Royal Albert Hall, and wouldn’t impact any potential Royal reconciliation, at least from her perspective.

Barr noted: “I do not think that pictures of the couple at a celebratory party over Remembrance Day weekend would have tanked a reconciliation with the royals.”

She added: “I don’t think a reconciliation is on the table, but let’s pretend, for the sake of argument, that it is (since it seems Harry and Meghan might be under that impression).

‘They didn’t do anything wrong’

“I don’t see how attending a party with rich and famous people (some very powerful) would alienate the couple further from the royals, who are themselves rich, famous, and powerful.”

Should this have sparked tension with Jenner, that’s regrettable, but it appears Harry and Meghan are prioritising the Royal Family, which is positive.

Bethenny Frankel weighed in, commenting: “They didn’t do anything wrong. It’s just been hard to be them because they’ve been riding between two worlds for a long time.

“They have to accept where they land, don’t bite the hand that’s now feeding them and lean all the way in, they should be in the first slider pick with Jeff Bezos and the Kardashians.

“You gotta dance with the one who brung ya and not the ones who aren’t even inviting you to their dances anymore.”
