Two robberies are under investigation around Conestoga Mall and Cambridge Centre Mall, with Waterloo Regional Police Service (WRPS) issuing a public alert Monday evening around three separate locations.

The alert was released by WRPS on its social media page on Monday, Nov. 17, shortly after 6:00 p.m.

It stated that investigations were on the go around three separate locations: Cambridge Centre Mall on Hespeler Road, Conestoga Mall on King Street North, and Pinebush Road and Conestoga Boulevard in Cambridge.

The post specified that there would be an increased police presence at each of those areas as investigations were continuing through regional police, centred around robberies that had taken place.

When asked which locations are believed to be linked, a police spokesperson said they did not immediately have all the details, so they could not confirm which locations are connected.

Since then, five men have been arrested in connection with a robbery at the Cambridge Centre Mall, as well as upwards of four other robberies across Waterloo on the same day.

As of now, the investigations into those robberies are still ongoing through WRPS, asking anyone with further details to come forward.
