The United Torah Judaism faction condemned the violence directed at Knesset member Yoav Ben Tzur (Shas) by Haredi protesters. “In the faction meeting, its members rejected with disgust the baseless argument that these were ‘protests’ but rather serious acts of violence. This has no place anywhere and in any form. The Knesset members noted that these severe violent acts serve as ammunition for those who plot against Torah scholars, giving them more reasons to attack while portraying Torah students as a violent public,” the statement said.
