Millie Bobby Brown is used to working hard. After all, she was just 12 when she was cast on Stranger Things. And now that the 21-year-old is a mother, she somehow does even more! The actress shared new pictures of behind-the-scenes at the Season 5 premiere of her hit Netflix show, and fans couldn’t help but noticing that she was in full mom mode while her husband Jake Bongiovi relaxed.
The Enola Holmes actress and her husband welcomed their first child together via adoption in August. The baby girl, whose face and name have not been revealed, has been spotted accompanying her parents on trips to Disneyland and other outings. And this new picture features the stroller again, being pushed by a frazzled-looking Brown.

“cheeeeeese,” she captioned a post on Instagram. It featured Brown on the red carpet, taking mirror selfies, smiling with friend Noah Schnapp, and other behind-the-scenes moments. But it was the two slides at the end that proves she is firmly in her mom era.
In one, Brown holds her phone in one hand as she pushes her baby’s stroller outside. She’s wearing a leather jacket with her hair up in a messy bun as she looks up at something beyond her. In the second photo, we see exactly what has her exasperated: Bongiovi, who is reclining on an adult-sized Baby Bjorn lounger from a Babylist event, holding a coffee cup in his hand. Isn’t is just so typical of dads to lay around and do nothing while their wives do the most?
The photos come after Bongiovi sparked backlash earlier this week from fan videos showing Brown doing all the work for carrying their baby’s car seat around at various events while her husband stands around. (Buzzfeed has a link to one of the viral videos HERE.)
So what do you think about Brown seemingly sending a message to the fans — is it just a cheeky joke that shows she sees the commentary and is making fun of people for not knowing the full story? Or is it a more serious cry for help that shows she sees how little her husband does for their daughter?
There is one thing we know for sure: all moms have felt like this at one point or another, whether you have a supportive partner or not. “The second to last one with the stroller is LITERALLY the exact same look all of us moms have when we’re exhausted lmao 😅💕” one person wrote. So true!
Likely, Brown is just making fun of all the discourse because she recently praised her husband. In a December story with British Vogue, Brown revealed, “We are 50-50 on everything. That’s why I’m so grateful to have partnered with him in this life – he is just the most amazing dad.”
At the end of the day, seeing a quick snapshot of someone’s life (like Brown carrying her baby’s car seat) doesn’t really tell us anything. Nobody knows what’s going on behind closed doors, and the fact that Brown has said they split parenting duties should be all we need to know.
