Antony Collins is in Bilsdale in the North York Moors.

“Up here on the moors it is a winter wonderland,” he says from Clay Bank, the main road between Stokesley and Helmsley.

“A good inch of snow has settled on the car where I am, the snow has been thick and heavy for the past hour, I’m just starting to see in the distance and it is so pretty.

“It is just picture-postcard in the North York Moors, but that doesn’t take away from the fact you need to be incredibly careful.”

Antony reports the temperature is -2C and motorists have slowed right down on the “completely snow-covered” main road.
