Police have arrested one suspect and are searching for two others in connection with a home invasion in Markham earlier this year.
In a release, York police said the home invasion happened just before 6 a.m. on May 11, at a residence in the area of Laureleaf Road and Bayview Avenue.
“When police arrived, three suspects had already fled the scene empty-handed after learning officers had been contacted,” investigators said.
The investigation led to one suspect and Jordan White-Djulus, 20, of Toronto, was arrested on Nov. 17.
He is charged with robbery using an offensive weapon and disguise with intent. Police said he was released on bail on Nov. 19 and his next court appearance is in December.
At the time of the home invasion, White-Djulus was on a release order for unrelated offences.
Detectives are still searching for two more male suspects in connection with the home invasion.
The first is described by police as Black, in his early 20s, standing six-foot tall with a slim build. He was wearing a black track suit, black mask, surgical gloves, and black shoes at the time of the home invasion.
Police described the second suspect as Black, also in his early 20s with a slim build, and about five-foot-ten. He was wearing a black tracksuit, black mask, surgical gloves, black and white shoes, and had been carrying a backpack.
