The ceasefire between Israel and Hamas is holding even if the situation remains fragile, US Ambassador to the United Nations Mike Waltz said in defense of a US-backed peace plan amid continued violence in Gaza.

“So far, it’s fragile, it’s difficult,” he said Friday in an interview with Stephanie Flanders, Bloomberg’s head of economics and government, at the New Economy Forum in Singapore. “The ceasefire is holding and hostages walked out alive and on top of that, we’re receiving the remains, literally week by week.”
