Waterloo regional police say a pedestrian has died after they were struck by a vehicle in Cambridge on Thursday.
The crash was reported shortly after noon in the Industrial Road and Langs Drive area of the city.
Initially, police said the crash involved a pedestrian and a vehicle, and that serious injuries were sustained.
Police later confirmed the pedestrian was transported to a local hospital in life-threatening condition, where they succumbed to their injuries.
The pedestrian has been identified as a 34-year-old Cambridge woman.
Road closures were in effect in the Industrial and Langs area for several hours on Thursday afternoon.
While police cleared the scene around 4 p.m. they said their investigation is continuing.
