Two voices have not been heard since Defense Minister Israel Katz announced his decision to shutter Army Radio on March 1. The first is Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, but his opinion on the matter has been known since he ostensibly casually blurted at a cabinet meeting last March, “Why do we need Army Radio at all? Defense Minister Katz and Communications Minister [Shlomo] Karhi should examine the Army Radio matter.”
