UFC Qatar Preview

Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) latest show goes down THIS MORNING (Sat., Nov. 22, 2025) with UFC Qatar live from ABHA Arena in Doha, Qatar. This event will stream LIVE on ESPN+. The main event for this rare morning show is Arman Tsarukyan vs. Dan Hooker in the Lightweight division.

This is Tsarukyan’s first fight since April 2024. He was supposed to fight Islam Makhachev (someone he fought to a close decision early in his UFC career) for UFC’s 155-pound title in January. However an undisclosed back injury ruled him out (and also annoyed his boss, Dana White).

Hooker, meanwhile, hasn’t competed since Aug. 2024. That’s when he upset Mateusz Gamrot. He’s gone under the knife since then. The injury that needed surgery bumped him out of a fight with Justin Gaethje (those details here).

UFC Qatar’s co-main event is a very intriguing Welterweight match-up. Belal Muhammad vs. Ian Machado Garry could have big implications in the 170-pound title picture with both men hoping to eclipse the impressive high-water marks set by Carlos Prates and Michael Morales last week.

The rest of UFC Qatar’s main card includes Volkan Oezdemir vs. Alonzo Menifield, Jack Hermansson vs. Myktybek Orolbai and Serghei Spivac vs. Shamil Gaziev.

UFC Qatar’s “Prelims” are headlined by Alex Perez vs. Asu Almabayev in the Featherweight division.

The “Prelims” also feature the triumphant return of former UFC Flyweight title challenger, Kyoji Horiguchi. The Japanese star left the UFC a decade ago and has been collecting belts in RIZIN and the defunct Bellator since then. He’s got his hands full in his return, taking on current contender Tagir Ulanbekov.

The remainder of the “Prelims” have been built with a view to regional interest. The pick of those other early fights include Ryan Loder vs. Ismail Naurdiev and Bekzat Almakhan vs. Aleksandre Topuria.
