Peel police are investigating after a man was killed after suffering either gunshot or stabbing injuries in Brampton, Ont., on Saturday afternoon.

Peel police are investigating after a man was killed in an incident in Brampton on Saturday afternoon.

Police say they were called to the area of Clearjoy Street and Southlake Boulevard, south of Bovaird Drive East, around 3:15 p.m.

When officers arrived, they found the victim suffering from either gunshot or stabbing injuries, police say.

Peel paramedics tell CTV News Toronto that the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say the incident does not appear to be random. They do not have a description of the suspect.
