A man in his 50s was shot and killed inside a Brampton residence Saturday afternoon, and police say his son is now wanted in the homicide.
In a news release issued Sunday, police say officers were called to the home on Clearjoy Street around 3:15 p.m. for reports of a disturbance and found the victim suffering from gunshot wounds.
He was pronounced dead at the scene, despite emergency life-saving efforts.
Speaking to reporters, acting Sgt. Tyler Bell previously told CP24 that “the belief right now is that the person outstanding – the suspect – is associated with the address… whether or not they live there full-time or have been known to visit, we’re not certain. That is definitely something we’re looking into right now.”
“We’re looking for you and we’re not going to stop until we get you, and it won’t be long,” he added.
Investigators say the victim’s son, 25-year-old Nicholas Jaglal of Brampton, has been identified as the suspect and is wanted for second-degree murder and attempted murder.
