Slender Man stabbing attacker on the run after cutting off GPS monitor, Madison police say

MADISON POLICE SAY MORGAN GEYSER CUT OFF HER ANKLE MONITOR AND WAS LAST SEEN IN MADISON ON KRONK DRIVE. THAT’S ON THE CITY’S SOUTHWEST SIDE. POLICE SHARED THIS PHOTO. YOU SEE ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF YOUR SCREEN OF HER. THEY SAY A RECENT ONE. GEYSER AND FORMER CLASSMATE ANISSA WEIER NEARLY KILLED ANOTHER CLASSMATE, STABBING HER 19 TIMES TO APPEASE A FICTIONAL CHARACTER NAMED SLENDERMAN. BACK IN 2014. OUR TJ DYSART LIVE TONIGHT ON THE STREET WHERE GEYSER WAS LAST SEEN TJ. HER LAWYER SAYS SHE RAN FROM HER MADISON GROUP HOME WITHIN THE LAST HOUR AND A HALF. WE JUST HEARD FROM THAT LAWYER, TONY COTTON. HE SAYS SHE WALKED AWAY FROM A GROUP HOME THAT SHE WAS LIVING IN. AGAIN, POLICE SAY THIS WAS THE LAST STREET THAT SHE WAS SEEN ON SATURDAY NIGHT. COTTON, NOW URGING HIS CLIENT TO TURN HERSELF IN. WE JUST HEARD THE NEWS THAT MORGAN HAS WALKED AWAY FROM THE GROUP HOME THAT SHE WAS HOUSED AT. OBVIOUSLY, IT’S IN HER BEST INTEREST TO TURN HERSELF IN IMMEDIATELY AND NOT CONTINUE WITH THIS COURSE OF ACTION. MADISON POLICE SAY GEYSER WAS LAST SEEN HERE ON KRONK DRIVE LAST NIGHT AROUND 8:00. THEY SAY SHE WAS SEEN WITH AN ADULT ACQUAINTANCE AND THAT SHE CUT OFF HER GPS MONITOR. POLICE POSTING THIS TO SOCIAL MEDIA SAY SHE WAS REPORTED MISSING THIS MORNING. THEY’RE ALSO URGING ANYONE WHO MAY SEE HER OR KNOW WHERE SHE IS TO CALL 911. NOW THIS ALL COMES JUST TWO MONTHS AFTER A WAUKESHA JUDGE SIGNED OFF ON A CONDITIONAL RELEASE FOR GEYSER FROM THE WINNEBAGO MENTAL HEALTH INSTITUTE. SHE WAS SENT THERE BACK IN 2018 AFTER PLEADING GUILTY TO ATTEMPTED FIRST DEGREE INTENTIONAL HOMICIDE IN A DEAL THAT SPARED HER PRISON TIME. INITIALLY, GEYSER WAS SUPPOSED TO BE MOVED TO A SUN PRAIRIE FACILITY, BUT THAT FACILITY DECLINED TO TAKE HER BECAUSE OF THE PUBLICITY SURROUNDING THE CASE. THE JUDGE THEN SIGNED OFF ON A NEW CONFIDENTIAL LOCATION, MEANING HER LIVING ARRANGEMENTS WERE NEVER PUBLICLY DISCLOSED. NEIGHBORS HERE SAY IF SHE WAS LIVING IN THE AREA, THEY WOULD HAVE PREFERRED TO KNOW ABOUT IT. WE DON’T FEEL, YOU KNOW, UNSAFE, BUT IT IS SOMETHING THAT WE SHOULD HAVE BEEN NOTIFIED ABOUT. AND TJ, HER LAWYER, SAYS SHE WALKED AWAY FROM THE GROUP HOME WHERE SHE WAS LIVING. YEAH, BUT HE SAID HE COULDN’T SHARE EXACT DETAILS ON THE HOME AGAIN. Geyser was last seen at 8 p.m. near Kroncke Drive with an adult acquaintance. Police were notified of her disappearance Sunday morning. Anyone with information is urged to contact 911.
