Former British Prime Minister David Cameron has revealed he was diagnosed with prostate cancer.
The 59-year-old told British newspaper The Times he was initially urged to get checked by his wife Samatha after the couple heard a radio interview.
Cameron said his results from a prostate-specific antigen test came back high, and a subsequent biopsy eventually confirmed his cancer.
“You always dread hearing those words,” Cameron told the publication.
“And then literally as they’re coming out of the doctor’s mouth, you’re thinking, ‘Oh, no, he’s going to say it. He’s going to say it. Oh God, he said it.'”
