A teenager was hospitalised last week following an assault in Carndonagh.
Gardaí are also investigating a number of public order incidents that occurred in the town on the evening of Thursday the 24th of July.
An altercation is believed to have taken place between a number of male youths/teenagers between approx. 5.45pm and 6.30pm at The Diamond and also at Malin Street a short time later. One male teenager was taken to Letterkenny University Hospital following the incidents to receive treatment for non-life threatening injuries sustained.
Gardaí are in the process of gathering witness statements and all available CCTV will be viewed.
“We appeal to any witnesses who have not yet spoken to Gardaí to get in touch with Buncrana Garda Station on 074 9320540,” a garda spokesperson said.
“We appeal to anyone who may have travelled within the town, particularly in the areas of The Diamond or Malin Street between 5pm and 7pm with a dash-cam, to make the footage available to us”.
