Legendary actor Dharmendra took his last breath today on November 24, 2025. Known as the HE-MAN of Indian cinema, Dharmendra was 89. The veteran actor kept on fighting for over three weeks and finally said goodbye to the world, leaving behind a legacy that will remain immortal. The entertainment industry is in deep shock by the loss of an incredible actor. Ever since the news spread, several celebs rushed to the cremation centre to pay their final respect to the soul.Â
Shah Rukh Khan reached the funeral site to pay his last respects. He was spotted covering his head with a white bennie. Govinda, Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone were also spotted at the Pawan Hans Crematorium in Mumbai.Â

For the unversed, Ranveer Singh shared screen with the legendary actor in his previous release, Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahani. Dharamji was seen playing the role of Ranveer Singh’s grandfather in the film. The Dhurandhar actor also shared a picture with the veteran actor on his Instagram handle.
Other celebs who marked their presence at the last rites of Dharmendra were Amitabh Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan, Salim Khan, Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar, Sanjay Dutt, Jackie Shroff, Aamir Khan, Shabana Azmi, Saira Bano, and more.Â
Dharamji’s health deteriorated in the last few weeks. He was put on a ventilator two weeks back, but the actor fought back and recovered. Later, Dharamji was discharged from the hospital and was taken care of at his residence. His last on-screen performance will be in Sriram Raghavan’s Ikkis.
Interestingly, the movie marks the big-screen acting debut of his Sholay co-star and friend Amitabh Bachchan’s grandson, Agastya Nanda. The movie is based on the life of Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal and is centered around the Battle of Basantar during the 1971 India–Pakistan War. Dharmendra plays the role of the title character Arun Khetarpal’s father. Ikkis is slated to hit the big screens on December 25, 2025.Â
