Rossi. (December)
Rossi. is one of London’s freshest and most exciting DJs and producers, who is fast becoming one of the most talked-about names on the global electronic music scene. Over the past decade, Rossi. has headlined at Space Miami, The Warehouse Project, and Hï Ibiza and graced leading parties including Circoloco, Music On, Paradise, Fuse. In 2025, Rossi. launched his highly anticipated+++ World Tour, selling out venues across the UK, Manchester, Scotland, Ireland, Amsterdam, Spain, and the USA – cementing his status as one of dance music’s hottest acts.
Rossi.’s catalogue includes a string of underground favourites such as “U WONT SEE ME,” “FREAK INTHE SHEETS,” “Don’t Touch That Dial” and “Little Man (Proud Of You)”. His breakthrough anthem “High On Me” featuring Jazzy broke into the UK Top 20, holding its place for over 10 weeks, and amassing over 20 million streams in just two months. His sound continues to evolve while reaching new audiences every day.
Rossi. says: “Being asked to do The Residency on Radio 1 Dance is a true honour. I’ve always loved the idea of having a radio show that I curate so this is the perfect opportunity for me to really take people through a lot of music that I love. I can’t wait for it!”
Lens (January)
Lens has been tearing through the scene since her emergence in 2020. Lens gained momentum in 2023 with standout remixes of Issey Cross’s Top 20 hit Bittersweet Goodbye and Hybrid Minds & venbee’s If Love Could Have Saved You. In early 2024 she released ‘After Party’ a collaboration with LZee, a multi-million streaming hit. In 2025, Lens kicked off the year with her biggest release to date: DangerZone with Emily Makis. A Kill Bill- inspired single that quickly racked up over 2 million streams and received mass BBC Radio1 support.
With over 100 shows played in 2024, including sets at Glastonbury’s Arcadia stage, Boomtown’s mainstage, and Drumsheds- Lens capped off the year with her debut headline UK tour, Moving Mad, which sold out across the country. Bucket list moments have already been ticked off in 2025, with Lens’ Essential Mix for BBC Radio, her Live Stream for DJ Mag and her first UKG release. Driven by a deep-rooted connection to the culture that raised her, Lens is carving out her own lane in D&B in scintillating fashion.
Lens says: “Joining The Residency on Radio 1 Dance is a real dream, I’m beyond honoured! I can’t wait to share my sound, my influences, and what’s shaping the scene right now. From jungle and drum & bass to grime and 140, I’m bringing that raw energy to the airwaves. This is going to be special!”
Jazzy (February)
As the most streamed female DJ/vocalist globally, Dublin’s Jazzy is the most exciting artist in Ireland right now and is a trailblazer for her homegrown music scene. The BRIT and Ivor Novello nominee has released a string of wide-ranging collaborations with global dance contemporaries, offering her infectious blend of unforgettable melodies and resonant lyrics to tracks with Rossi. (‘High On Me’), Ankhoï (‘Closer to the Floor’), KILIMANJARO (‘No Bad Vibes’) and Sonny Fodera & D.O.D (top 5 hit ‘Somedays’). A Bonafide hit maker, Jazzy has two number one singles in Ireland, as well as three top ten singles in the UK. With each new release further establishing her name within the dance music canon, Jazzy has been equally active on the live scene, completing an incredible festival run with performances at Glastonbury, Ava Belfast, Tomorrowland, Reading & Leeds, Silverworks, O Festival and an 8-date Pacha Ibiza residency.
Jazzy says: “What an honour to be part of The Residency, honestly. I was listening to Josh Baker’s religiously in the summer and got straight onto my team asking if I could throw my hat in the ring. I guess some Radio 1 listeners might only know my voice over the airwaves so I’m keen to show them my kind of selection – DJing came before the vocals and the songwriting for me, and the dance scene in my hometown of Dublin is the biggest contributor to who I am. I put a lot of that feel into my sets and I’m excited to bring that to our Residency.”
MALUGI (March)
MALUGI’s happy place is the dancefloor. That’s where his cheeky smile and penguin moves turned into global fan favourites. An infectious presence that made him “The Happiest Man in Dance Music”. Driven by pumping club productions, MALUGI has created a niche for himself in fast-paced, UK-influenced house. A formula that has made him a household name among dance music’s tastemakers and awarded him BBC Radio 1 Future Star 2025.
MALUGI has brought his signature energy to some of dance music’s most prestigious spaces, from Panorama Bar and Warehouse Project to Amnesia Ibiza and Awakenings and seen him tour the US and Australia, reach millions of streams on his original productions, and result in two viral Boiler Rooms in 2024. Looking ahead, the mission stays the same: bringing fun to club music, only the scale is growing. Whether it’s his stacked festival summer including highlights like Glastonbury and Tomorrowland or his own “Happy Hour” event series – MALUGI brings big feelings for big rooms.
MALUGI says: “BBC Radio 1 has been supporting me since the very beginning, and I’ll be forever grateful for all the opportunities they’ve opened up for me. After a lot of airtime for my music, multiple Hottest Records and being named one of Danny Howard’s Radio 1 Dance Future Stars of 2025, I’m beyond excited to announce that I’ll be joining The Residency on Radio 1 Dance in 2026.
“This will be my first-ever radio residency (which feels surreal to say) and I can’t wait to use this platform to shine a light on the incredible talent around me and to share the many different facets of my musical journey with you. Couldn’t be more buzzing for this next chapter. Catch you on the airwaves soon. xx Matteo.”
