The police said they arrested two suspects in riots by ultra-Orthodox extremists in Ramat Gan during which they overturned a patrol car in protest of a deserter’s arrest. “Last night a report was received about demonstrators gathering on Meir Baal HaNes Street in Ramat Gan, against the background of military police activity in the area amid attempts to harm the forces. The officers began dispersing the rioters and evacuating the military police teams. The rioters caused damage to military police vehicles and overturned a vehicle. The officers worked to disperse the demonstration and arrested two suspects who were brought for questioning at the police station,” the statement said.
