The opening game of the Saints’ league campaign will also double as Paul Rowley’s first league fixture in charge of the team since taking over the reins as our new Head Coach.

Kick-off is scheduled for 8pm at the Halliwell Jones Stadium, and the fixture has been selected as one of Sky Sports’ exclusive picks for the opening weekend of the new season.

It will be the first time that St.Helens and Warrington have met in the opening round of the Super League since 2014. That match, also held at the Halliwell Jones Stadium, saw the Saints secure a terrific 8-38 victory on the road.

The Red V and the Wolves have a fierce rivalry that is set to be re-ignited. St.Helens will be out to start the new season with a win and to maintain an impressive run in their opening Super League fixtures, having secured victory in the opening match of each Super League campaign since 2014.

Sam Burgess’ Warrington side, on their own turf, will also be fired up for a stronger season in 2026, and will be out to impress in front of their home supporters.

St.Helens’ full 2026 Betfred Super League fixture list will be released at 8am tomorrow morning – Thursday, 27th November.
