A former executive at Twitter has claimed that he was given an ultimatum to sign up to the new reality of Twitter 2.0, “or not”.

Gary Rooney told the Labour Court this morning that staff were worried that a famous “fork in the road” email from Elon Musk was a phishing attempt to harm the company and were concerned that the message was not genuine.
