A man is being treated in hospital after he was assaulted in Dublin City Centre last night.
The victim, a man in his 30s, was taken to the Mater Hospital following the incident that took place on Dorset Street Lower at around 9pm.
His injuries are described as not life-threatening.
Gardai and emergency services attended the scene, which was later preserved for technical examination.
Meanwhile a Garda spokesperson told Sunday World investigations into the assault are ongoing.

“Gardaí and emergency services were alerted to an assault that occurred on Dorset Street Lower in Dublin 1 at approximately 9pm last night,” the spokesperson said.
“A man aged in his 30s was brought to the Mater Misericordiae University Hospital for treatment of injuries, not believed to be life-threatening.
“The scene was preserved and a technical examination conducted. Investigations are ongoing.”
