Global #ENDTB Youth Townhall:
Mobilizing youth power to accelerate the TB response
Join us on 12 December 2025, 12:30 – 15:00 CET
The World Health Organization (WHO) is convening a Global #ENDTB Youth Townhall – a high-energy virtual gathering spotlighting the urgent threats facing the TB response and the critical leadership of young people in driving change worldwide.
Around the world, young people are stepping forward as innovators, advocates, and frontline community leaders in the fight against TB. As the generation most affected by decisions made today – and the one that will shape tomorrow’s outcomes – youth are delivering bold solutions, digital activism, and community-driven action that are vital to accelerating progress toward ending TB. Through the WHO 1+1 Global Youth Initiative to End TB, more than 90,000 young people have already been mobilized, forming a powerful force to ramp up the TB response.
The Townhall will provide a dynamic, youth-centered platform for young leaders to share lived experiences, exchange ideas, and forge new avenues for strengthening youth action in safeguarding and advancing the global TB response amid funding cuts and other crises.
The highly interactive event will feature live discussions and inspiring reflections. Dr Tereza Kasaeva, Director of WHO’s Department for HIV, TB, Hepatitis and STIs, will open the townhall. Speakers include young TB survivors, youth advocates, medical students, researchers, and other emerging youth leaders.
The event will take place virtually on 12 December, from 12:30 to 15:00 CET
Open to all committed to ending TB – young and young at heart – the Townhall especially invites young people, youth networks, and TB-affected communities to join, raise their voices, and help shape the future of the global End TB response.
Note: The meeting connection link will be shared upon registration.
