The Detroit Lions will be missing a starter along their offensive line today as they host the Green Bay Packers on Thanksgiving, but they also get a starter back along their defensive front.
Center Graham Glasgow has been dealing with a knee injury that prevented him from participating in Detroit’s walkthroughs this week. He will miss his first game of the season because of it. Veteran Trystan Colon could step in at center with the team also elevating center Kingsley Eguakun from the practice squad.
One key development as it pertains to Detroit’s center position is the team reinstating Frank Ragnow from the Reserve/Retired List ahead of Wednesday’s 4 p.m. deadline to do so. He’s been placed on Exempt/Commissioner Permission List. Detroit’s All-Pro center is expected to be back in the lineup soon.
Detroit’s defensive line is welcoming back edge rusher Marcus Davenport to the lineup for the first time since he injured his pectoral muscle Week 2 vs. Chicago. That should give Detroit’s pass rush a boost against a Packers’ offense that’s allowed the fourth-fewest sacks in the NFL this season (17).
