A mini bus has crashed and rolled down an embankment in the NSW Hunter Valley, injuring six people.

The incident happened on Mount View Road at Mount View after 10.30am today.

A NSW Ambulance spokesperson said two people are in a serious condition and four people have been left with minor injuries.

The mini bus was transporting wedding guests, the Sydney Morning Herald reports.

Two emergency helicopters have been sent to the scene to take the injured people to hospital.

Nine ambulance vehicles have also been set to the scene.

Motorists have been urged to avoid the area. Mount View Road remains closed.
