ANAHEIM, California — McDonald’s is teaming up with one of the most recognizable theme parks in the world to mark a milestone anniversary, and the collaboration is delivering an unusually large collection of limited-edition toys.

Beginning Tuesday, McDonald’s will launch a Disneyland Resort 70th Celebration Happy Meal, created to commemorate the resort’s 70th anniversary.

The promotion includes 70 total toys, packaged as 35-character pairings, featuring figures from Disney, Pixar, Marvel and Star Wars franchises.

According to the fast-food chain, the toys will be released for a limited time at participating restaurants nationwide. The assortment is designed to appeal to both kids and collectors, as each Happy Meal will include two characters instead of the traditional one.

As part of the promotion, customers can scan a QR code on packaging to access a virtual experience allowing them to explore select areas inside Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park, McDonald’s said. The interactive maze-style activity features collectible digital items and appearances from well-known characters.

The collaboration comes as Disneyland Resort celebrates seven decades since opening its gates in 1955.

McDonald’s said the toys will be available while supplies last.
