I’m a Celebrity‘s Alex Scott is the first to leave the jungle.

Her high-profile girlfriend Jess Glynne wasn’t able to wait on the jungle bridge for her. Glynne had been in London on daytime TV show This Morning on Friday. As the conversation of wedding bells came up, she said: “Why do I have to ask her? It’s a weird one, innit. I mean, you never know who will ask who, but…” She tossed her hair and smiled.

Instead, waiting for Scott on the jungle bridge was her best friend Regan Coleman.

One of Scott’s jungle highlights included talking about her dreams of marrying her girlfriend Glynne one day. She told the camp: “I will get married to her, just waiting for her to ask, Rubes [Ruby Wax]! I know my forever is with her.”

Speaking after leaving the jungle for the first time, Scott told Ant and Dec: “It feels strange… It doesn’t feel real.”

Presenters Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly called it the “day of reckoning” as they drummed up drama around the exit.

Angry Ginge, Aitch, Ruby Wax, Kelly Brook, Martin Kemp and Jack Osbourne had been at risk of the first elimination. Lisa Riley, Vogue Williams, Tom Read Wilson, Eddie Kadi and Shona McGarty were the stars who were immune from the I’m a Celebrity vote.

What did Alex Scott say about her exit?

Joining Ant and Dec, Scott had a lot of gossip to spill about the camp. Cheeky Dec called Scott “Saltbae” for smuggling salt into the jungle and brazenly sprinkling salt on the food.

The footballer still had one sachet of salt left that hadn’t been confiscated but it was too soggy to use in the cooking. She said: “This one is so wet. I saved it for you guys. I don’t know. I grabbed a load when I stopped on the way in. I was thinking should I put it in my sock?”

The campmates were in on the seasoning but she urged Ant and Dec not to enforce any more punishments on the stars.

Also, Scott discussed the tense moment over Wax stealing the sweets. She said: “There are times where you so close. You don’t want to be that person that starts the argument. At the end of the day, it was.”

One jungle crime that rattled the footballer was Kemp leaving the toilet seat up in the dunny. She said: “Oh my gosh, the smell in the dunny. Someone keeps leaving the seat up.” Pressed for a name, she said: “No, no. He’s a national treasure!” Ant and Dec then outed it must be Kemp.

Who will win I’m a Celebrity?Shona McGarty would be Alex Scott's queen of the jungle.

Scott revealed she had bonded most with McGarty and she would love to see her win the show.

Both stars had smuggled items into camp, Scott had sneaked in salt while McGarty had stolen an air freshener.

Scott said: “It was tough because we were the closest in there. We’re rivals for that moment. We’ll leave it there.”

She later added: “I think Shona being named queen of the jungle. It would change her and give her the confidence to take on life.”

Scott revealed she was surprised by the fun and friendships in the jungle. “The humour, we really connected, I never expected that, to make the bonds that we all did.”

Thursday marked the return of an I’m a Celebrity live trial for the first time in six years, with Ant McPartlin asking: “What could possibly go wrong?” There was chaos, vomiting, and even disqualification, which meant both Angry Ginge and Aitch faced the public vote.

The stars were competing for immunity from the very first vote. They had to drink a disgusting cocktail including ingredients like bull penis or pig vagina. Vomit fruit and fermented duck egg are often said to be some of the worst I’m a Celebrity dishes.
