Pedestrian killed by ute in Bunnings Cannon Hill carpark crash in Brisbane

An elderly man has died after he was struck in a Queensland carpark.

The 82-year-old man from Morningside was hit by a ute in a shopping centre carpark off Creek Rd at Cannon Hill in Brisbane about 10am on Saturday.

The man was found with head injuries outside the Cannon Hill Bunnings, the Courier Mail reports.

He was taken to hospital in a critical condition, but later died of his injuries, Queensland Police said on Sunday.

The driver of the grey Mitsubishi Triton, a 24-year-old man from Carindale, was no physically injured in the crash.

Investigations into the crash are ongoing.
