Attorney General Gali Baharav-Miara presented her position on bills to split the role of the Attorney General and change its nature and essence, saying that “they transform it from a state entity committed to the public interest into the government’s lawyer.” According to her, “approval of these bills will lead to harm to the foundations of government, the rule of law, the fight against government corruption and human rights.”
