A man has been arrested after another man died and a woman was seriously injured in a road crash on the M50 in the early hours of this morning.
The incident occurred on the N2/M50 northbound slip road at Junction 5 shortly after 1am.
A man in his 20s died and a woman in her 30s was taken to the Mater Hospital, where she is in a serious condition.
A man in his 20s was arrested at the scene and is being held at a garda station in Dublin.
Gardaà carried out a technical examination of the scene and have appealed to any witnesses to contact them.
