IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir conducted a field tour and situation assessment in the Tamon area, Tubas and the cluster of villages in northern Samaria, where he was presented with the initial inquiry of the Yamam special unit’s operation to arrest wanted suspects in Jenin last week, during which two wanted suspects who surrendered were shot dead. In his first reference to the issue, he said that “these are events that require thorough investigation,” and instructed to complete the operational inquiry immediately after the completion of the investigation being conducted by the Police Internal Investigations Department.
