Tom Johnson selects his 6-a-side team as midfielders priced £7.0m or under score double points
The midweek FPL Challenge is called “Value Creators” as all midfielders priced at £7.0m or under score double points in Gameweek 14.
There is a limit of one player per club for your 6-a-side team, but there is an unlimited budget. Here, FPL expert Tom Johnson reveals his team and explains his thinking, to help you pick your own line-up.

Goalkeeper
Alisson Becker (Liverpool)
After Liverpool’s much-needed victory and clean sheet in Gameweek 13 against West Ham United, Alisson will be my goalkeeper for this week’s challenge. A home fixture against Sunderland presents a good opportunity to continue the Reds’ upward trajectory.
The Black Cats have failed to score in two of their last three away trips and rank comfortably in the bottom half for Expected Goals (xG) and big chances on the road.
Defender
Daniel Munoz (Crystal Palace)
Munoz takes the solitary defensive slot in my 1-3-1 formation. After avoiding his fifth yellow card of the season last time out, the Colombia international looks primed for returns against Burnley.
No defender has picked up more attacking returns than Munoz’s five in 2025/26, while, from a defensive point of view, no team have created fewer xG across the season than Crystal Palace’s opponents Burnley. The Eagles have also kept three clean sheets in their last four matches.
Jurrien Timber is the only defender to have registered a higher Expected Goal Involvement (xGI) than Munoz this season. Timber’s appeal is further strengthened by the rolling deadlines in Fantasy Challenge, meaning you can make changes to your team after seeing the starting line-ups and right up until kick-off.
However, with the one-player-per-club limit, I’ve opted to use my Arsenal spot on a midfielder who is eligible for double points.
Midfielders
Declan Rice (Arsenal)
In my three-man midfield I’ve opted to chase the upside and pick the maximum number of players priced at £7.0m or under.
Ahead of an appealing home fixture against Brentford, Rice takes the Arsenal spot in the team and will be my captain. Only one midfielder has scored more FPL points this season, with the Englishman scoring at least three in all but one of the last eight Gameweeks.
Whether it’s goals, assists or defensive contribution points, Rice is the epitome of consistency. Priced at exactly £7.0m, double points should ensure a double-digit haul for him in Fantasy Challenge.
Yankuba Minteh was another option I strongly considered. No Fantasy asset has produced more assists than his seven so far this season.
Bruno Guimaraes (Newcastle)
He has worked his way to the top of the points-scoring chart among Newcastle United players in recent weeks.
The Brazilian’s home form is particularly impressive. In his last three matches at St James’ Park, Guimaraes has racked up three double-digit hauls thanks to five attacking returns.
As well as being an offensive threat, Guimaraes also offers defensive contribution potential, hitting the threshold in three of his last six matches.
Enzo Fernandez (Chelsea)
With Moises Caicedo suspended and Enzo Maresca confirming Reece James is unlikely to start in midweek, I’m confident that Fernandez will not be rotated in Gameweek 14.
No Chelsea player has had more big chances (eight), goal attempts (25) or created more chances (21) than the Argentina international.
In Gameweek 14, the Blues face Leeds United, who have won just one of their last seven matches and are without a clean sheet since Gameweek 3.
Forward
Erling Haaland (Man City)
Completing my 6-a-side team is the top-scoring player in Fantasy, Haaland. Despite blanking in his last two away games and failing to score against Leeds in Gameweek 13, it would be foolish to write off the Norwegian.
If you exclude penalties, no player has had more big chances than Haaland over the last six Gameweeks, with the Golden Boot leader also top for shots on goal in that time.
Jean-Philippe Mateta is another great option, with his opponents Burnley ranking 20th for big chances and Expected Goals Conceded (xGC) across the season.
