The interior of Crinken Church, in Shankill, ahead of the Christmas Tree Festival.
A unique Christmas festival, which last took place in Shankill, south County Dublin, a decade ago, has returned to rekindle the story of Christmas along with a walk through some 50 resplendent Christmas trees, each with a special message from community groups, individuals and businesses.
The Christmas Tree Festival 2025, at Crinken Church, promises magic, light, and wonder over the weekend of December 5-7, and one of the aims of the festival this year has been to encourage residents from the new estates of Woodbrook and Shanganagh Castle to partake in a distinctive event that extols the spirit of Christmas, but at its heart is an open and inclusive celebration for all.
