The two spent the opening round feeling each other out and landing occasional blows, Blachowicz attacking the lead leg, Guskov looking to land power shots. In the second, “Hitman” dropped the Polish veteran and spent the remainder of the frame working from top position, clearly winning the round, but in the third, the resilient former light heavyweight titleholder continued to press forward and nearly chased down a finish in the closing moments of the contest.

When the scorecards were collected and totaled, they revealed one official scoring the bout in favor of Blachowicz and the other two seeing it level, with Guskov earning 10-8 scores in the middle stanza on both cards resulting in the level totals. While not the most satisfying outcome for either man, it felt like the right verdict, and keeps each man in line for a similar matchup whenever they kick off their 2026 campaign.
