They fully believed that the Ballyhale Shamrocks juggernaut could be taken down but St Martin’s boss Daithi Hayes was still “in shock” after bagging their first Leinster club SHC title in dramatic circumstances.

The Wexford kingpins trailed by a point heading into injury time but Rory O’Connor levelled it up with a free before Ben Stafford wrote his name in Wexford hurling history forever with a sensational winner.
