The tunnel shaft, located near the Lebanese border village of Houla, and the weapons storage facility in Ayta ash-Shab were described by the IDF as “old infrastructures that are no longer active.”
In a statement, the army said the sites were destroyed “to prevent any possibility of future use” by the Iran-backed terror group.
The demolitions come amid ongoing Israeli airstrikes and ground operations targeting Hezbollah positions in southern Lebanon following the October 7, 2023, Hamas massacre and the subsequent cross-border attacks launched by Hezbollah.
