Foreign Minister Gideon Saar met with Costa Rica’s Minister of Foreign Trade Manuel Tovar, and the two agreed on opening an office for trade and investment news in Jerusalem. The office will have diplomatic status and is expected to open in the first quarter of 2026. It was also announced that Israel and Costa Rica are expected to sign a free trade agreement this week, in the presence of Economy Minister Nir Barkat.
