A woman has died following a road incident in County Carlow.
It happened shortly before 5:30pm last evening (Monday, 8th December) in Myshall village.
It’s understood the pedestrian, who was aged in her eighties, was struck by a car and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Her body’s been taken to University Hospital Waterford where a post-mortem examination will take place.
The coroner’s been notified.
Gardaí say the scene’s being held pending a technical examination.
