Howard Stern dug up old footage to refute a claim made by Kim Kardashian, in which she accused him of casting doubt on the authenticity of her 2016 robbery.

On the latest episode of The Kardashians, the reality star, 45, recalled the shock jock “was famously mocking it all the time and saying that I was sick and it’s such a joke and I made it all up,” before adding, “I remember he was so defiant about it.”

In 2016, a group of men gained access to Kardashian’s hotel room, tied her up and robbed her in Paris. During the episode of the Hulu series, cameras followed along as she faced the men responsible in a Paris courtroom nearly nine years after the incident.

On Tuesday, December 9, the official Instagram account for The Howard Stern Show shared a clip of Stern talking about getting named-dropped by Kardashian on the Hulu series.

“She accused me of saying that she faked her Paris robbery attempt, and she’s very emotional about it,” Stern, 71, begins. “Fortunately for anybody in this case, our show is taped, so we went back and looked up what I said and nothing could be further from the truth.”

The clip then transitioned to Stern speaking about the incident with co-host Robin Quivers at the time, and they both made sure to note that, if the story was true, it was “frightening” and they felt bad for Kardashian.

While discussing the idea that it was a publicity stunt, Stern said, “If it is a farce, then really they should go to jail for that.” However, both he and Quivers, 73, quickly stated that neither of them believed the robbery was fake or that Kardashian was lying about it at the time.

“If anything, I would say, now tell me if I’m wrong, I would characterize that discussion as a very fair assessment that some people are saying it was fake, which was true,” Stern explained on his SiriusXM show. “And we said, we don’t think it was fake.”

Stern also added that he was surprised that Kardashian came after him at all — considering he could pull up receipts to show what he actually said at the time.

“By the way, I have said so many awful things in my career, you don’t need to make up stuff. You can certainly find every awful thing I’ve said,:” Stern concluded. “It’s no secret.”
