A 26-year-old Saskatoon woman is the latest suspect charged with murder in the death of Tim Tootoosis.
Danaka Delia LaPlante appeared in Saskatoon provincial court on Wednesday, charged with first-degree murder, unlawful confinement and offering an indignity to human remains.
Nine other people are also in custody charged with first-degree murder. Six of them are also charged with unlawful confinement and offering an indignity to human remains.
Saskatoon police found the body of Tim Tootoosis, 30, on Dec. 18, 2024, while executing a search warrant at a house in the 1700 block of 22nd Street West.
In addition to LaPlante, the other accused are Shianna-Lee Dagenais, Nakita Tootoosis, Emmery Aubichon, Destini Gardypie, Michael Landry, Donovan Lemstra, Michael McCallum, Vernon Peequaquat and Roderick Rabbitskin.
