A woman is in a critical condition following crash on the Castleisland to Farranfore road overnight.
The crash happened on the N23 at Lisheenbaun, Castleisland at 11:40pm.
The road is closed this morning for a technical examination.
Gardaà and emergency services responded to reports of a single vehicle collision on the N23 at Lisheenbaun last night.
The driver and sole occupant of the car, a woman aged in her 70s, was removed from the scene to University Hospital Kerry.
She remains in a critical condition.
The road is closed pending a technical examination to be conducted by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators; local diversions are in place.
The N21 Castleisland–Tralee and N22 Tralee–Farranfore roads are not affected.
Gardaà are appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision to come forward.
Anyone who may have camera footage, including dash-cam, that was travelling on the N32 in the Lisheenbaun, Castleisland area between 11:20pm and 11:50pm is asked to make it available to investigating GardaÃ.

Gardai says investigations are ongoing and they are asking motorists to avoid the area if possible.
