The Ministry of Education announced that starting February 2, Tu BiShvat, a new policy will be implemented in elementary schools prohibiting the use of mobile phones on school grounds. According to the guidelines, which will be presented under the leadership of Education Minister Yoav Kish, students will not be able to use devices during the school day, except in designated lessons where educational staff will permit controlled use for learning purposes. The Ministry of Education is currently working on a Director-General circular that will formalize the new policy.
