Updated: Perth weather presenter heads east, to succeed Livinia Nixon, while Natalia Cooper takes on role in the west.
Nine News Perth weather presenter Scherri-Lee Biggs is heading to the East Coast, to become the new weather reporter and presenter at Nine News Melbourne.
She will succeed Livinia Nixon weeknights in 2026 joining Alicia Loxley and Tom Steinfort from Sunday, January 18.
Scherri-Lee has been with Nine for over 11 years, presenting the weather in Perth as well as filling-in as weather presenter on Today during its summer series, reporting live from major weather moments and community events.
The former Miss Universe Australia has also featured on Postcards, Destination WA and Celebrity Apprentice Australia.
Scherri-Lee, who has previously lived in Victoria for several years, said, “Melbourne holds a truly special place in my heart. As the home city of my husband, Daniel, we are greatly looking forward to reconnecting with family and raising our daughter, Isla, here. It is a sincere privilege to join the exceptional team at 9News Melbourne and work alongside Alicia, Tom and Tony, and I truly can’t wait to connect with the viewers.”

Natalia Cooper will expand her current role and present the weeknight weather for 9News Perth next year.
Genovese said: “Natalia has been reporting into living rooms around Australia for over 20 years, including several years nationally on Today. We are looking forward to her continuing to deliver Perth’s best weather in 2026.”
Cooper said: “I began my career presenting weather for 9News Perth back in 2004. It’s always been a passion of mine. I love Perth and I love Nine. I can’t wait to get started in this role next year.”
