A suspect wanted in connection with a stabbing in an east-end cellphone store earlier this week has been arrested, Toronto police say.
On Wednesday afternoon, police said the suspect had a brief verbal interaction with a man in the store located near Danforth Avenue and Main Street.
The suspect then allegedly stabbed the man and shortly after fled on foot.
Police said the victim was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The victim is the owner of the store, his friend told CTV News Toronto.
In a news release on Friday, police announced the arrest of 36-year-old Rodwyn Johnson.
He has been charged with assault causing bodily harm, assault with a weapon, possession of a weapon for the commission of an offence, breach of probation, two counts of assault and two counts of uttering threats.
