Regional police are investigating a stabbing that took place in Halifax early Sunday morning.
Shortly before 4 a.m., police responded to the intersection of Barrington and Richmond streets, where a 27-year-old man was suffering from stab wounds.
Police said he was transported to hospital with serious injuries.
According to HRP, officers believe the incident began with a verbal dispute among a group of people and then escalated into a physical altercation.
No other injuries were reported.
Police are looking to speak to anyone who may have captured dashcam footage on Barrington Street, between Richmond and Duffus Streets, between 3:15 a.m. and 4 a.m.
