It’s been a busy few weeks for our ABB FIA Formula E World Championship crew, with the first race of Season 12 in São Paulo last Saturday, followed by the FIA Prize Giving Ceremony one week later.
HISTORY: Who are all the Formula E champions from Seasons 1 to 11?
Hosted in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, the annual evening is an opportunity to celebrate the champions, legends, and milestones of motorsport this year. Drivers across all categories are present, including recently-crowned F1 World Champion, Lando Norris.
Oliver Rowland was in attendance to accept his Drivers’ World Championship trophy, having sealed the deal in Berlin earlier this year thanks to a dominant season with Nissan. The Brit managed four wins, seven podiums and two Julius Baer Pole Positions across his title-winning campaign to lock in the honours with two races to go.

“It’s been a long time coming,” Rowland said when accepting his trophy in Tashkent. “I’ve been in Formula E now for seven years. It’s been a tricky first few years, but to finally get my hands on [the championship], and have the season that we had and the domination, particularly in the beginning, is a fantastic achievement, and I’m extremely proud.”
For Porsche, who won both the Teams’ and Manufacturers’ Titles, their Director of Factory Motorsport Florian Modlinger and Vice President of Porsche Motorsport Thomas Laudenbach were on hand to collect the silverware. Season 10 champ Pascal Wehrlein was also in attendance, having finished third across the 2024/25 campaign for Porsche.

“Of course it feels great,” Laudenbach added on Porsche’s double win. “It took us a while and it wasn’t easy at all. Formula E is such a competitive championship. We’ve made our way step-by-step, and Pascal, last year, won the drivers’ title, and now this year, winning the teams’ at the manufacturers’ title, we couldn’t wish for more.”

“It’s a great honour,” Modlinger added, “and I’m really proud of every single person in the project as it’s a great achievement and really proud for this success and to contribute a little piece in Porsche motorsport’s history in electric motorsport.”
Nick Cassidy finished Season 11 in second with Jaguar TCS Racing, but wasn’t in attendance to retrieve his award.
Later on in the evening, DS PENSKE’s Maximilian Guenther was also on stage for the FIA Action of the Year award for his heroic last-lap overtake for victory at the 2025 Jeddah E-Prix.
