After becoming BFFs on the set of Song Sung Blue, Hugh Jackman is clamoring to work with Kate Hudson again, a source tells Globe.
“Hugh couldn’t be prouder of their new movie and he wants to do more with Kate,” confirms the source. “They really enjoy being around each other.”
Hudson, herself, confirmed as much to Page Six, describing the shoot for the musical project — which lasted just 36 days — as “so easy.”
“The work was fun,” she told the outlet.

In the flick about a Neil Diamond tribute band, Jackman, 57, and Hudson, 46, play a married couple.
“Hugh doesn’t automatically have perfect chemistry with every leading lady, like he does with Kate,” notes the source. “Sometimes it can be like pulling teeth.”
The duo’s tight bond has been on full display while promoting Song Sung Blue, which hits theaters on December 25.
From an impromptu karaoke session at a NYC pub to Jackman predicting Hudson will win an Oscar for her role, it’s been nothing but a love fest.

“Hugh and Kate clicked from day one,” says the source. “They lift each other up. So why would they stop working together now when their real friendship has only just begun?”
After all, she’s repeated leading men before.
Hudson famously starred opposite Matthew McConaughey in both How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days and Fool’s Gold.
Now, says the source, she and Jackman are the ones “eyeing up more projects” to collaborate on in 2026: “They have a magical connection.”
