Bonnie Blue’s Bali trip went from a social media stunt to an actual scandal in record time. After a fake arrest earlier this year, the adult content creator, whose real name is Tia Billinger, was actually taken into police custody while filming x-rated content with tourists in Indonesia.

News of her arrest surfaced last week, and initial reports were vague. We now know she was detained under suspicion of ”pornographic activities” with authorities seizing a laundry list of items, including nine pink necklaces, condoms, flash drives, several cameras, lubricant, two sheets of Viagra, and yes—the infamous Bang Bus, along with its certificate.

“We have handed them over to the Immigration for further investigation on alleged breaking immigration law. Police investigations are still ongoing. We jointly investigate with the immigration,” said the Badung Police Chief.

Blue will be deported from Bali and banned from entering Indonesia for 10 years, far better than the 15 years in prison and hefty fine she could have faced.

What really got people talking, though, was the search through Blue’s phone. According to Kumparan News, the devices confiscated included not just hers but also those of the men arrested with her. Police were looking for evidence of x-rated videos filmed for profit while on a tourist visa.

“Bonnie Blue, along with the reported JJTW, INL, and LJA, had KITAS and tourist visas but used them to work creating video content to gain profit,” the police chief said. While they didn’t find Bali-shot pornographic content, there were personal videos of Bonnie pleasuring herself. She maintained the footage was filmed in a Spanish hotel for personal use, not sharing.

“According to the explanation of Article 4 Paragraph (1) of Law Number 44 of 2008 concerning pornography, the term ‘making for oneself’ does not fall into the category of pornography,” the chief added.

However, authorities did find one clear violation. Videos showed a man with the initials LAJ driving the Bang Bus around Bali without an Indonesian driver’s license while Bonnie and other foreigners were on board.

“Neither LAJ nor Bonnie holds an Indonesian driver’s license,” officials said. “A new crime was discovered in the video showing LAJ driving a car carrying BB and other foreign nationals violating the criminal act of anyone driving a goods vehicle to transport people.”

Blue will soon return to the U.K.
