Gardaí are appealing for witnesses following a serious road incident in Killarney yesterday afternoon.

The collision involving a motorcycle and three other vehicles took place on the N22 at Lissivigeen at around 4 o’clock.

The motorcyclist, a man in his late teens, was brought by air ambulance to Cork University Hospital for treatment of life-threatening injuries.

No other injuries reported at this time.

The road has been reopened following a technical examination of the scene by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators.

Gardaí are appealing for anyone who witnessed the crash to come forward.

Any road users who may have camera footage, including dash-cam footage and were travelling on the N22 in the Lissivigeen area between 3:45 and 4:15pm are asked to make it available to investigating Gardaí.
