CANONSBURG OFF OF NORTH CENTRAL AVENUE. I’M GOING TO SHOW YOU THE ROADS RIGHT NOW. I WILL TELL YOU THEY ARE NOT GREAT. THE BUILD. IT’S OBVIOUSLY CONTINUING. IT’S STILL GOING. AND IT IS PRETTY SLIPPERY OUT HERE ON THESE ROADS. THEY HAVE BEEN TOUCHED ONCE. BUT AS WE GET, YOU KNOW, THROUGHOUT THESE NEIGHBORHOODS ONTO THE SIDE STREETS, THAT’S WHERE IT HAS NOT BEEN TOUCHED. AND IT’S PRETTY DIFFICULT TO DRIVE IN. NOW COMING DOWN HERE, WHEN WE WERE DRIVING ON 79, IT WAS ACTUALLY PRETTY SLICK AND THERE WAS A DECENT AMOUNT OF BUILD UP. PENNDOT JUST ANNOUNCED SPEED RESTRICTIONS ON 79 AND ALSO 70. THAT’S DOWN TO 45MPH. PENNDOT SAYS THEY HAVE A FULL CALL OUT OF THEIR OPERATORS AND RENTAL TRUCKS TO HANDLE THIS STORM. THEY SAY CREWS BEGAN PRE-TREATING ROADWAYS TODAY, AND THEY’RE GOING TO STAY OUT CLEARING THE ROADWAYS FOR THE DURATION OF THIS STORM. THEY ALSO CLOSED HOV LANES. THEY SUGGEST NOT DRIVING UNLESS YOU HAVE TO. AND MANY PEOPLE, THEY ARE HUNKERING DOWN. EARLIER, WE CAUGHT UP WITH SHOPPERS AT THE HARDWARE STORE. THE OWNER OF ROLLERS IN MOUNT LEBANON TOLD US THEY COULDN’T KEEP SHOVELS AND ICE MELT ON THE SHELF TODAY, AND HE EXPECTED TO RUN OUT OF THOSE ITEMS TONIGHT. HE SAYS THEY HAVE MORE ON THE WAY NEXT WEEK, THOUGH. WE’VE GOT PEOPLE WEATHERPROOFING THEIR WINDOWS, PROTECTING THEIR WATER SPIGOTS OUTSIDE WITH FAUCET PROTECTORS, PEOPLE LOOKING FOR GLOVES, HATS, CAR SCRAPERS, ALL THAT STUFF. I HAVE SHOVELS AT HOME. WE GOT MOST EVERYTHING YESTERDAY AND I’LL DELIVER SOME FRESH FOOD TO MY MOM AND SHE’LL BE SETTLED FOR THE NIGHT. THIS IS ANOTHER LOOK FOR YOU. WE’RE GETTING CLOSER TO THE CANONSBURG PARK, AND YOU CAN SEE HERE THAT THESE ROADS REALLY HAVE NOT BEEN TOUCHED. IT’S VERY DIFFICULT TO DRIVE ON AGAIN. PENNDOT SAYS DO NOT DRIVE ON THE ROADS IF YOU DO NOT HAVE TO. WE HAVE SEEN A LOT OF CANONSBURG MUNICIPALITY TRUCKS DRIVING AROUND. ALSO, SOME OTHER SNOWPLOWS AND THEY ARE HERE ON THE ROADS FOR NOW, COVERING WAS
